Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip
This cake gets it's name from the original recipe I was given years ago:
2 eggs, 4 oz butter, 6 oz sugar, 8 oz flour and 1/2 cup liquid
It's a really versatile recipe with many variations:
Add 2 tsp vanilla for vanilla cake
Use lemon or orange juice for a citrus cake (you can add 2 tblsp poppyseeds if you like)
Add some coconut for added flavour
Add 2 tblsp cocoa for a chocolate cake

This has always been one of my favourite easy cakes with the stand mixer. Great conversion! I have made it several times as muffin sized now and is great for the thermomix. Thank you!
