Ingredients

50 piece(s)

  • 55 grams sugar
  • 250 grams flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 125 grams Butter
  • 1 egg

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place sugar in TM bowl and mill for 5 seconds on speed 10

  2. Add remaining dry ingredients and butter and mix for 6 seconds on speed 6 or until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

  3. Set to closed lid positionClosed lid.

    Add egg yolk and knead on Interval speed Dough mode for 15 seconds to form dough.

  4. Place mixture on floured board and gently knead.

    Roll out to about 2 mm thick and cut into rounds with a scone cutter.

    Place on greased and floured patty cake trays and prick 2-3 times with a floured fork.

    Bake at 180 c fan forced.

Tip

If pastry is too soft sprinkle with more flour.

Fill with lemon butter, caramel or your favourite filling just prior to serving.

Unfilled shells suitable to freeze and will keep in fridge.
