      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C (fan forced)

  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper or Oven Mat

  3. Scones
  4. Put flour and butter into the mixing bowl, mix 10 secs/speed 8

  5. Add milk and mix 20 secs/Dough mode

  6. Empty dough into lightly floured bench or ThermoMat - add berries and chocolate chips and gently incorporate into the dough using your hands

  7. Gently flatten dough mix out to approximately 3cm thick, then cut into 10 pieces using either a blunt knife (be careful if you are doing this on your ThermoMat) or with a scone cutter.

  8. Place on prepared baking tray and glaze tops with milk if desired. Bake for 15mins or until golden.

Scones are delicious on their own, but even better with cream or butter!

Blueberries can be replaced with any other fresh berry

If you like your scones a little sweeter, sprinkle raw sugar on the tops after brushing with milk
