      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Put water and yeast in bowl, cook for 5 mins, 37deg, sp1
    Add remaining ingredients to bowl and mix 10sec, sp4
    Scrape sides of bowl, knead 10 mins
    Wrap in Thermomat until doubled in size (20-40mins depending on temperature)
    Cut into 50-80g portions and roll into rounds/logs
    Rest on pieces of baking paper until doubled in size again, making sure the bottom of the bombolini are well floured so they don't stick
    Heat oil to 180deg & fry bombolini for 2mins each side
    Drain on kitchen towel & sprinkle with caster sugar

    Fill Bombolini with creme patissiere, jam & cream, jam or nutella
