If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Recipe's preparation
- Pre-heat oven 180 degrees celsius.
Chop almonds 5 secs, speed 5
Add walnuts, chop 5 secs, speed 5
Add dates & figs, chop 5 seconds, speed 5. Mixture should be roughly crumbled, without any large chunks.
Add condensed milk and 70g coconut, mix 15 seconds Rev speed 4, or until completely combined.
Use 2 teaspoons to form into balls (mixture will be very sticky), and toss in extra coconut.
Place onto baking paper-lined tray and garnish each with a glacé cherry.
Cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

** Use an entire tin of sweetened condensed milk if you prefer the sweeter version
** Dried apricots make a nice addition if you have them
