  • 150 grams Rice malt syrup
  • 50 grams coconut oil

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Making Granola
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 140'C

    2. Add walnuts, Macadamias & Brazil Nuts into Thermomix bowl. Activate the .5 second Turbo function 1-2 times until Nuts are desired texture (I like it chunky). Set nuts aside in a bowl.

    3. Add Coconut Oil and Rice Malt Syrup to Thermomix bowl and heat for 2mins/50'/Sp 3 until melted and combined.

    4. Add reserved nut mix, pepita Seeds, sunflower seeds and coconut flakes into the Thermomix bowl and combine on Counter-clockwise operation/15secs/Sp 3. You can use your spatula to aid mixing.

    5. Spread mix evenly over Thermomat or a baking tray lined with baking paper, and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown. You can stir mixture during baking to get even browning.

    6. Remove from oven, allow to cool, then break into small bite sized pieces. Store in an airtight container.

    7. The chunks are delicious as a healthy treat as they are, or can be served with a dollop of yoghurt.

Tip

You can adjust texture or chunkiness to your desired consistency.

you can adjust the flavour to taste by adding Vanilla paste during heating method, adding cacao nibs/powder, a pinch of cinnamon or a sprinkle of salt.

nuts chosen are FODMAPS friendly however you can substitute with any Nuts desired.

I prefer to purchase organic ingredients in bulk where possible.

    love this recipie, I use it and variants of it all the time. Thanks for sharing. I eat a FODMAP diet, but the family steals this granola as a passing snack.
