Choc-Coconut Slice

Slice

  • 150 g raw sugar
  • 80 g plain flour
  • 80 g self-raising flour
  • 15 g cocoa powder
  • 65 g Desiccated Coconut
  • 125 g Butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

  • 30 g Butter
  • 160 g icing sugar
  • 10 g cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tsp hot water

Recipe's preparation

    Slice
  1. Place Raw sugar into Bowl and mill 2sec/speed 9.

    add in other dry ingredients (Plain Flour, SR Flour, Cocoa Powder, coconut) and mix together 5sec/speed4. Set aside.

     

    Melt butter 1min/60c/speed 3.

    Add in vanilla extract, dry ingredients then the egg and mix 5sec/speed 4. Scrap sides and repeat 5sec/speed 4 if necessary.

     

    Put into lined slice tray and bake 180c for 20-25min or till lightly golden.

     

     

  2. Icing
  3. Put all ingredients into bowl and mix 40-60sec/speed 4-5 or untill combined.

     

    Spread over cooled slice and sprinkle with extra coconut.

Tip

Store in air-tight container for 3-4 days.

Freezes well for lunchbox snacks.

    yes you could use normal white sugar. personally I would only use between 60-100g.
