125 g

Vanilla biscuits with chocolate chips

  • 125 g Butter, softened
  • 200 g Soft brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Paste
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 50 g chocolate chips

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 175C.
    Prepare 2 baking trays lined with baking paper or silicon baking mats.
    Add softened butter and soft brown sugar to the Closed lid.
    Mix 10 seconds Speed 6 to cream butter and sugar.
    Add rest of ingredients EXCEPT chocolate chips.
    Mix 20 seconds speed 5.
    Add chocolate chips mix 10 seconds Counter-clockwise operation speed 2.
    Roll a tablespoon sized amount of mixture with damp hands and place onto the baking tray. When all the mixture is done, press down slighlty with a damp fork.
    Bake for 15 mintues until slightly golden in colour.
    Remove from the oven and after a few mintues transfer to a wire rack to cool cpmpletely.
    They will be soft once removing from oven but wll crisp up on standing.

Tip

This is such a versatile basic recipe.
Instead of choc chips, swap for raisins, cranberries, nuts.
And sometimes 50g isn't enough if you like a generous amount of chocolate or fruit in your biscuits.
