      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Pre-heat your oven to 160 degrees fan-forced or 175 degrees for other types.

    2. Prepare baking trays by lining them with baking paper

    3. In your Closed lid, insert the butterfly whisk.

    4. Place the raw sugar and softened butter into the Closed lid.

    5. Mix for 15 sec / speed 3 with MC on.

    6. Scrape down sides of Closed lid.

    7. Add the egg and the vanilla essence / paste

    8. Mix for 15 sec / speed 3.5 MC on.

    9. Scrape down the Closed lid.

    10. Weigh 120 grams of the self raising flour into Closed lid.

    11. Mix with butterfly whisk still inserted for 10 sec/speed 4.

    12. Remove the butterfly whisk and scrape down the Closed lid

    13. Add the 150 grams of self raising flour into Closed lid.

    14. Turn on Dough mode.

    15. Mix on Dough mode for 30 seconds.

    16. Add your chocolate chips.

    17. Mix for 20 seconds / Counter-clockwise operation / speed 2

    18. Scoop out approx dessert spoon size of the mixture and roll into tight balls.

    19. Place the balls evenly onto your baking trays, leaving room for the biscuits to spread out slightly. (1.5cm between approx gap)

    20. Slightly flatten out the balls so they stick to your baking paper.

21.Bake for 12-15 mins or until just starting to brown.

    22. Leave on baking paper for approx 3-5 mins to cool slightly, then transfer onto a wire rack to fully cool before storing.

Great cookies. I use gluten free self-raising flour and they work just as well and the kids all love them. Thanks!

Great. Made a double batch and got 3 trays of little biscuits perfect for lunchbox. Reduced sugar by half and added only 200g choc chips for the double batch. Plenty of choc throughout.

I thought this would be like other recipes ai'd tried - apart fom using raw sugar the ingredients were the same. I found the instructions time consuming but it's worth it because these buiscuits ate the bomb. I reduced the raw sugar to 120g and still sweet enough 👍
