Chocolate protein cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 150 g 70% cocoa chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1 can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • half can four bean mix, drained and rinsed
  • 4 eggs
  • 75 g Natvia
  • 1 pinch baking soda

Icing

  • 50 g 70% cocoa chocolate
  • 50 g cream

Recipe's preparation

    Cake method
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees


    2. Grate chocolate 10 sec/speed 8


    3. Melt chocolate 4min/50 degrees/speed 3 (scrape sides down during melting if needed)


    4. Scrape melted chocolate out of bowl and set aside


    5. Add chickpeas, beans & eggs to bowl, blend 20sec/speed 5.5


    6. Add Natvia and baking soda, pulse 2-4 times


    7. Add chocolate and mix 15sec/speed 4


    8. Pour in a greased, lined tin and bake in over for 30-35 min (or until skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean)


    9. Cool before icing

    2. Melt chocolate and cream together 2-3min/50 degrees/speed 3 (scrape sides down during melting if needed)


    3. Pour onto cooled cake and decorate as desired!

Tip

Natvia can be replaced with the same quantity of coconut sugar or raw caster suger if you'd like.

Ganache icing can be replaced with a dusting of icing sugar or milled Natvia (to make icing sugar)
