Cinnamon Donuts

Donut Batter

  • 200 g Flour (Plain or Wholemeal)
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder (make your own EDC)
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg (ground)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (ground)
  • 100 g Sugar (Raw)
  • 60 g Grapeseed Oil
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g Milk (Low Fat)

Cinnamon Sugar

  • 1/2 --- cup Sugar (Raw)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (ground)
  • 100 g Butter (Margarine), Melted

Recipe's preparation

    Cinnamon Sugar
  1. Place Sugar and Cinnamon into TM bowl. Turbo twice to blend Sugar and Cinnamon.

    Put Sugar mix aside into separate bowl.

  2. Donut Batter
  3. Place Flour, Baking powder, Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Sugar into TM bowl. Turbo twice to combine.

    Put Flour mix aside into separate bowl.

    Place Oil, Egg, Milk into TM bowl. Mix for 5 seconds on Speed 5.

    Add Flour mix. Mix for 5 seconds on Speed 5 to combine.

    Spoon Donut Batter into Donut maker in batches and cook for 2 mins or until brown.  You can also use a mini muffin tray and use patty pans, pre-heated oven on 180 for about 15 - 20 minutes. Ovens vary so keep an eye on them.

    Once Donuts are cooked (while hot, careful not to burn fingers. I used tongs). Dip into melted Butter (Margarine) and then into Sugar mix.

    Put aside to cool or eat warm.




Accessories you need



Whats great about this recipe is that it is very easy to change ingredients from Low fat to Full cream or Soy milk etc. Raw sugar to White or Caster sugar.  I use Grapeseed oil because thats what I have in the pantry but you could use a diffrent type of oil as long as it doesn't have a strong taste.
