Date and Apricot Oat Slice

Ingredients

Date Mixture

  • 350 grams Dried Dates
  • 150 grams dried apricots
  • 200 grams brown sugar
  • 250 grams water
  • 1 tsp Vanilla paste or extract

Oat Mixture

  • 320 grams Unsalted butter, roughly chopped
  • 200 grams Oates
  • 320 grams plain flour
  • 360 grams brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Recipe's preparation

    Date Mixture
  1. Grease and line a rectangular slice tin.

  2. Preheat oven 160 degrees

  3. Place Dates and Apricots into TM bowl and chop by Closed lid and p

    pressing Turbo 4 times for 1 second each

  4. Add Brown Sugar and Water.

    Cook 10 minutes / 100 degrees / speed 1

  5. Add Vanilla and mix 10 seconds / speed 2 

  6. Set Date Mixture Aside

  7. Oat Mixture
  8. Without washing TM Bowl melt butter 2 minutes / 50 degrees / speed 2

  9. Add remining ingredients and mix 30 seconds / Counter-clockwise operation / speed 3 or until well combined.  You may need to use the spatular to help mixture combine.

  10. Assembling Slice
  11. Use just over 1/2 oat mixture to line the base of the slice tin.  Press down firmly.

  12. Spread Date mixture over oat base.

  13. Sprinkly remaining oat mixture over top of the date mixture and gently press to hold in place.

  14. Bake for 35 minutes or until lightly golden.
