Ingredients

  • 160 grams dates, chopped
  • 220 grams water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon Bicarbinate Soda
  • 145 grams brown sugar
  • 1 dash Vanilla ess
  • 1 egg
  • 250 grams plain flour
  • 100 grams Butter, room temperature
  • 70 grams walnuts, chopped

Recipe's preparation

    Ingredients
  1. 160 grams od Dates,

    220 grams of boiling water

    1 teaspoon Bicarbonate Soda

    100 grams butter at room temperature

    145 grams brown sugar

    250 grams Plain Flour

    Dash Vanilla Essence

    1 egg

    70 grams walnuts

     

  2. Turbo the dates once or twice to roughly chop, then add to the boiling water. Stir in the Bicarb Soda and set aside to cool.

    Cream the butter and sugar, 20 seconds, Speed 4

    Add vanilla and egg 10 seconds Speed 4

    Add flour, date and water mixture and walnuts. Mix 30 seconds Speed 3 REVERSE

    Bake 40 mins, 160 Fan Forced or 180 if

    not using fan.

Tip

Walnuts can be omitted if there is a problem with nut allegy.
