Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Great recipe Thank you. I made with pears instead of apple, less sugar as per other comments and no honey. I also added Bi-Carb (1 tsp) as I wanted a golden colour finish. I am about to make again today.

Great recipe and simple (when you read it properly!)
LOL! I didn't read the recipe properly the first time and did it all back to front. This is the second time I have made the recipe and it worked this time.
No wonder I was confused! This time I followed the method for the crumble for making the muffin mixture and discovered that the mixture with the sugar, flour, butter and cinnamon made the mixture very homogenous and my mistake was a fantastic new invention! I will make the muffin mixture using the method for the crumble next time.
I added extra apple and loved the extra fruit. I might add in sultanas next time. I will also add in oats to the muffin mixture. I used dark brown sugar because it has extra molasses in it for added flavour.
Instead of milk I used buttermilk and I added in two eggs and reduced the honey to 1 dessertspoon. I did not make the crumble to reduce the amount of fat and sugar.

Awesome recipe! Made mini
Awesome recipe! Made mini muffins, and they were lovely. next time I will add nuts into the crumble on top, to make it crunchy
Delicious and easy to make! I
Delicious and easy to make! I accidentally used mixture proportions for the crumble (my fault, I didn't read the headings properly, and just started using the top list ingredients for the crumble), but it didn't matter - only some wasted crumble.
I used spelt flour and it worked fine. Needed longer than 20min to cook, but this was probably just my oven.
Variations look good - I think they'd be awesome with choc chips (but even more deadly!)
Thanks for the recipe

I took on board the comment
I took on board the comment about having to wash the TM in between, and made the crumble second. Next time I'd probably make it first. Because I'm incapable of following a recipe precisely, I doubled the apple, added pecans and subbed maple syrup for honey.
They turned out amazing, they were barely out of the oven before we ate them for breakfast.
Made the recipe as per
Made the recipe as per instructions (ie ingredients and measurements) and the muffins were delicious! Moist, not too doughy, with a beautiful crumble on top. I had to adapt some of the speeds & times to suit my machine (TM 31), but overall, such an easy recipe to follow.
Thank you!

Very easy to make, but I had to adjust a lot of the speeds for chopping or mixing. Not sure why. Mine turned out a bit doughy and I would definitely put more apple in next time. yummy served hot with ice cream. Thanks for the recipe.

Perfect! Absolutely delicious straight from the oven. I used plain flour instead of bakers flour. Loved the crumble on top. Bit fiddly though having to wash thermomix jug in between. My son thought it needed more apple.

What a treat! Thank you!
Used coconut sugar (lower GI) and put into cupcake cases, as no muffin cases: spread it out to about 15. Will decrease sugar and honey next time + add more apple! I have a feeling it's not going to be too far away...
