      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add egg yolks, sugar, yeast, milk and butter to TM bowl. Mix 2 min/37 degrees/speed 3

  2. Add flour and salt. Mix 15 seconds/speed 6.

    Knead 2 minutes/Dough mode

     

  3. Tip mixture into a bowl to rise, or wrap in thermomat until doubled in size

  4. Roll out dough on a lightly floured mat to around 1am thinknicess. Cut donuts into desired shapes, and fry in heated vegetable oil until golden.

  5. Dust cooked donuts in caster sugar while they are still hot, then serve
