Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation
Pre-heat oven 180 degrees and grease and line a 22cm loaf tin.
Place butter and syrup into TM bowl, put lid with MC on - melt 4 mins / 40 degrees / spd 1
Add sugar and eggs to TM bowl - beat 2 mins / spd 4
Add flour, salt, ginger and cinnamon - mix 20 sec / spd 3
Place a separate bowl on the TM lid and measure in the yoghurt. Mix the baking soda into the yoghurt
Put yogurt and baking soda mix into the TM bowl, add sultanas - mix
"Counter-clockwise operation" / 30 sec / spd 4 until completely combined. You may need to use your spatular to help a bit.
Pour mixture into prepared loaf tin. Bake in the oven for 40-45 mins.
Once cooked, allow to cool in the tin for 10 mins before turning out onto a wire rack.
