      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Elles Ultimate Chocolate Cake
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180'C
    2. Line a baking tray with baking paper. I use a 20cm round cake tin.
    3. Add all dry ingredients to the bowl and combine. 15 seconds, speed 4.
    4. Add remaining ingredients except the boiling water and combine well. 20 seconds, speed 4.5.
    5. Scrape down the sides.
    6. Add boiling water and combine for a further 10 seconds, speed 4.
    7. Pour cake batter into prepared tray and bake at 180'C for 50mins.

Tip

Mixture is fairly runny so a baking dish with solid sides is needed, silicon bakeware wont work.
This recipe can be doubled.

I use a chocolate buttercream/frosting for the icing. I also have filled it with oh em gee caramel in the centre and it takes it next level.
