I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1)  Mill Sugar, 10 secs, sp 8.

    2)  Add butter, cream 10 secs, sp 6.

    3)  Add honey, cream 10 secs, sp 6.

    4)  Add remaining ingredients, mix for 20 secs, sp 5, using spatula to help incorporate.

    5)  Set to closed lid position, 1 minute, interval speed.

    6)  Flour your benchtop & lightly knead dough through the flour, before halving. Wrap each half in glad wrap, & refrigerate for 20 minutes.

    7)  Preheat oven to 170 degrees C.

tmrc_emoticons.8)  Place dough onto floured bench top and roll out to desired thickness before using cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Place onto a baking tin lined with bakers paper and cook until golden - approx 15 minutes.

    9) Once cooled decorate accordingly (I use a glace icing and various toppings depending on shape/theme of biscuits).

Tip

This is the best recipe I have ever used for using cookie cutters. You can substitute Ginger for the Cinnamon, making an easy 'GingerBread'. I have also used this recipe to make Christmas Sleighs and Houses. It is nice and strong, and does not go stale quickly, meaning you can bake it a few days in advance and still have it last for a few days after Christmas (if it isn't devoured!).

Great recipe.  I made these into "wand cookies" - place stick into cookie after taking out of oven.   When cooled, use white chocolate to coat front of cookie (and "glue" in stick).  Add some sprinkles.  Done!  Kids loved it!  tmrc_emoticons.)
