ICED EASY BANANA CAKE

  • 125 grams Butter, softened
  • 120 grams raw sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bananas, medium
  • 280 grams self-raising flour
  • 1/2 level teaspoon Bi-carb soda
  • 2 level tablespoons Milk or Buttermilk
  • 1 pinch salt

cream cheese icing (optional)

  • 250 grams full fat cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 lemon, juiced

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    ICED EASY BANANA CAKE
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 170C.

    2.Mix sugar for 10 seconds on speed 9.

    3. Add softened butter and cream for 10 seconds on speed 5.

    4. Mix again for approximately 10 seconds while adding 1 egg at a time on speed 5.

    5. Add bananas and mix for about 10 seconds.

    6. Add flour, salt,bi-carb soda and milk for 20 seconds on speed 5.

    7. Bake for about 30-35 minutes. Testing with skewer to see if the cake is cooked through. Extend time if necessary in 5 minute increments until cooked.

    8. Leave in tin to cool before removing and icing. (optional)
  2. CREAM CHEESE ICING
  3. 1.Combine the cream cheese and icing sugar in Closed lid.

    2. Whizz for 20 seconds at speed 4 and add enough lemon juice, via the jug hole. Make it a spreadable consistancy. It depends on the size of your lemon.

    3. Spread over cooled cake.
