Lemon cake

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a bundt cake tin (22-24 cm) and set aside.
  2. Place sugar and zest of 2 lemons into mixing bowl and mill10 sec/speed 10.
  3. Add flour, sunflower oil, lemon juice, eggs, milk and baking powder and mix 30 sec/speed 5.

    Transfer mixture into prepared bundt cake tin.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes (200°C) or until golden and a wooden skewer inserted into centre of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool in cake tin for approx. 10 minutes before transferring to a serving plate and leaving to cool completely.

    Dust with icing sugar and serve.

you can use oranges unsted of lemons but make sure no more the 80 gr of juice and let baking 5 to 10 min extra depedt of the oven
