"Love You" Cookies

Ingredients

Cookies

  • 125 grams Butter softened, Recipe EDC pg17
  • 125 grams castor sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Essences
  • 180 grams custard powder
  • 375 grams SR flour
  • 70 grams Milk

Recipe's preparation

    Pre-heat Oven to 180deg and grease oven trays
  1. STEP 1.

    1MIN/SP 3.

    Cream Butter, Sugar and Vanilla Essence until light and creamy.

    STEP2.

    1MIN/SP 3.

    Add SR Flour, Custard Powder, start to mix while pouring in the Milk through hole until it forms a soft dough. (see TIPS).

    STEP 3.

    Tip out of TM Bowl onto a floured surface and roll out to 1-2cm thickness.  Cut out shapes with your favourite cookie cutters. Place onto greased trays and bake in oven for 15mins or until lightly golden brown.

    STEP 4.

    Take out of oven and allow to cool on trays (they will be soft) then transfer onto cooling racks.

Tip

You may need to add additional milk to form a soft dough.  Add 20mls at a time.

    These are a very plain biscuit! No very sweet.  I did need to add more milk to for the dough as stated. I also had to add quite a bit more flour to get it to not be sticky so I could roll it out. They rose beautifully and kept thier shape. For me personally I would add more sugar. I will make them again though. Thanks for the recipe.  Cooking 7
