  • 125 grams Butter
  • 250 grams brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250 grams plain flour
  • 250 grams Muesli of choice
  • 125 grams Sultanas or choc chips or nuts

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat a fan forced oven to 165-170C


    Line a 20 x 20 square tin with baking paper


    Add butter to the thermie bowl and melt 40 sec/50C/speed 4


    Scrape down sides and add sugar, mix speed 4 for 30 secs. Scrape down sides and mix for an additional 30 secs on speed 4. 


    Add egg and vanilla extract and mix 10 secs, speed 4. If needed, scrape sides and mix for an additional 5 secs, speed 4.


    Add flour and mix for 10 secs, speed 5. 


    Add Muesli (I used traditional fruit) and sultanas/choc chips/nuts of choice. 


    Mix counter-clockwise operation 10 secs, speed 5. 


    Push into tin and bake for 20 mins or until golden brown.


    Allow to cool and cut into 9 pieces.

Tip

This slice has a chewy cookie consistancy. This can also be used to make cookies, just bake for 10 minutes less for small individual cookies.
