One-banana Banana Bread

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180degC, grease and line a mini loaf tin (20cm x 11cm).

    Weigh walnuts in bowl, chop for 3 secs, Sp 4.5, set aside. No need to wash bowl.
  2. Place banana, egg, vanilla and canola oil in the bowl, mix for 5 secs Sp 3.
  3. Add plain flour, both sugars, baking powder, salt and walnuts from step 1. Combine on Counter-clockwise operation reverse, 10 secs, Sp 2.
  4. Scrape down sides of the bowl and mix again on Counter-clockwise operation reverse, 5 secs, Sp 2.
  5. Pour into prepared tin and bake for 35-40 mins (until brown on top and bounces back when pressed lightly in the centre). Cool on rack.
