      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Salted Caramel & Macadamia Bliss Balls - Portion size: 12
  1. 1.Place Macadamia nuts in Thermomix bowl & chop until coarsely ground (6-8 seconds/speed 6) Repeat if necessary.
    2. Set 1/4 of chopped macadamias aside into a small bowl, the other 3/4 into a second bowl.
    3. Place 200g pitted Medjool dates into Thermomix bowl with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add 1 level teaspoon vanilla essence.
    4. Mix together well for 10 seconds/speed 8 until well combined. (bliss ball consistency)
    5. Add 1 Tablespoon coconut oil to mixture in Thermomix bowl & 3/4 of the chopped macadamia nuts - mix together gently 6 seconds/speed 3.
    6.If satisfied with consistency proceed to roll into bliss balls (teaspoon size) or, add extra coconut oil if needed to hold mixture together & mix together again on speed 3 for 6 seconds.
    7. Roll bliss balls in remaining 1/4 of chopped macadamia nuts. Place in fridge to harden for 1 hour.

Tip

Macadamias can be substituted with almonds if desired.
