School Camp Fudge

  • 2 packages wine biscuits
  • 40 grams Butter
  • 125 grams water
  • 180 grams raw sugar
  • 110 grams milk powder

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Crushed biscuits
  1. Place 1 packet of wine biscuits into mixing bowl
  2. Insert measuring cup into mixing bowl lid.
  3. 7 seconds/speed 4
  4. Pour crushed biscuits into a large bowl
  5. Add second packet of wine biscuits into mixing bowl
  6. Insert measuring cup into mixing bowl lid.
  7. 7 seconds/speed 4
  8. Pour crushed biscuits into large bowl with first packet of biscuits.
  9. Condensed milk
  10. Add 40 grams butter into mixing bowl
  11. Add 125 grams water
  12. Heat 3 min/120°C/speed 2
  13. Add 180 grams raw sugar
  14. Add 110 grams milk powder
  15. Blend 30 seconds/speed 10, until smooth
  16. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl
  17. Fudge mixture
  18. Add 225 grams butter cut into 2cm pieces
  19. Melt 2 min/90°C/speed 2
  20. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  21. Add 15 grams cocoa
  22. Add 140 grams sultanas
  23. 6 seconds/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 3
  24. Pour fudge mixture into large bowl with crushed biscuits
  25. Stir by hand until combined
  26. Press into lined tray (approx 20x30cm)
  27. Place in fridge until set (approx 3 hours)
