- 15 g cornflour
- 15 g icing sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 200 g cream
- 200 g water

Recipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 250C.
Place the SR flour, cornflour, icing sugar, salt and baking powder into the TM bowl and mix 5 seconds speed 5.
Add the cream and water, mix 5 seconds speed 5 and then knead [corn] 10 seconds or until just coming together.
Place onto floured thermomat or floured bench and gently press or roll into a rectangle about 2cm thick. Cut out scone shapes using a floured cutter or floured MC.
Place onto a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at 250C. Remove from tray and cool on a rack. Cut in half and serve with whipped cream and jam.

Tip
This dough can be quite sticky so I find it helps to wear food handling gloves while working with the dough.

Does anyone know if these scones can be made exactly the same but with gluten free self raising flour to keep them gluten free? I've made these scones before and they are superb, but I have a gluten free guest coming over for our next morning tea and I want to make GF scones.....any advice appreciated!!
