Semolina Cake
- 250 g semolina
- 500 g flour, Self raising
- 375 g sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 tablespoon Vanilla Paste, sugar
- 1 tablespoons baking powder
- 375 g Butter, unsalted
- 250 g orange juice

Recipe is created for

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Beat egg whites until frothy
Beat in sugar until stiff and glossy - set aside
Beat egg yolks and remaing sugar and butter until very light and fluffy.
Add orange rind, baking powder and flour into bowl slowly with orange juice and semolina.
Fold in egg whites then put in a greased pan and bake in moderate oven for 40 minutes.
Allow to cool.
B - Syrup
Boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes and then pour over cake when cool
