      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place flour, sugar and chilled butter cubes into bowl.
    Mix Speed 4 / 3 sec
    Add 1tbs of iced water.
    Then speed 10 / 12 sec. After 3 sec add 1tbs iced water through hole in top. No MC needed.
    Once complete, tip onto Thermomatt or floured surface and shape into a ball before flattening it slightly. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate 30mins.

Tip

On a hot day may need longer in the fridge. Make sure butter is chilled and water iced! Soft butter will effect the consistency of the pastry.

For Pure Icing sugar I milled Raw sugar.
