WHOLEMEAL GINGER CRUNCH

Ingredients

24 piece(s)

Base

  • 150 grams Butter, add to bowl
  • 30 grams golden syrup, add to bowl
  • 100 grams brown sugar, add to bowl 80 speed 2 2 minutes
  • 50 grams long thread coconut, add to bowl
  • 130 grams dry rolled oates, add to bowl
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder, add to bowl
  • 3 teaspoon ground ginger, add to bowl reverse speed 1 min speed 4
  • 90 grams wholemeal flour, add to bowl

Topping

  • 100 grams Butter, add to bowl
  • 90 grams golden syrup, add to bowl 2 min 90 speed 2
  • 300 grams icing sugar, add to bowl
  • 3 teaspoon ground ginger, add to bowl blend 5 sec speed 5

Recipe's preparation

    Base
  1. Put buter, golden syrup and brown sugar in bowl, 2 minutes 90 speed 2.  Add rest of ingredients and reverse speed 1 minute speed 4.  Put into a lined 20 cm x 30 cm slice tin and Bake in 180 C oven for 20 minutes.  

  2. For the topping.  Put butter golden syrup in TM bowl 2 minutes 90 speed 2.  Add icing sugar and ground ginger and blend 1 minute speed 4.  Remove base from oven and spread the prepared topping over the warm slice.  Chill before cutting into 24 pieces.
