For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

4)Turn dough straight into oiled bowl, dough will be sticky-no need to make a ball.

5)Prove for 1hr or until doubled in size.

Tip

*I find the easiest way to remove dough from your thermomix bowl is to turn upside down & twist base of blades back & forth, your dough should drop straight into bowl.

You can prove your dough however you choose, this is just to give beginners an idea.

The following is the method I use if the day is not sunny enough.

Microwave proving method:

*I place a large mug of water & wet scrunched tea towel in microwave for 2 mins-note my microwave is not overly strong. While the dough is kneading.

*To prove in microwave, leaving the warm cup of water in there & covering the bowl containing dough with the preheated tea towel.

*While punching down dough ready for 2nd prove.Reheat the cup of water & tea towel in microwave for 1.5 mins & place back in microwave for atleast 45 mins for 2nd prove

Proving options

-Place in oiled bowl & cover with either warm tea towel or cling wrap

-Wrap in thermomat

-Place in preheated thermoserver-you can warm up by leaving hot water in while preparing dough.

Then place...some ideas

-In front of a sunny window

-In warm car in sun

-Slightly heat your oven, turn off & place inside

-In drying cupboard

-By fireplace

*I keep my yeast in the freezer,I find it’s the best way to keep it fresh.

*If making these into topped rolls-ie cheese & bacon, pizza, bbq chicken,I cook for 10 mins before adding toppings as I find cheese cooks too quick otherwise.
