420 g lukewarm water

  • 600 g wholemeal flour

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add all ingredients to the thermo bowl in order. Combine for 15 seconds, speed 3.
    2. Knead 9 minutes dough function.
    3. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl or thermo mat, cover with tea towel. Let the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
    4. Turn the dough onto a mat and punch out the gas.
    5. Shape the dough and place into 900gr bread tin.
    6. Place tin in a warm place to prove until it reaches the top of the tin or 3/4 way up the tin if using a tin with a lid, spray the top of the bread so it wont dry out.
    7. Once the bread has reached the desired height bake for 30 minutes in a 200 deg oven. Take out of tin and let cool on a wire rack.
