  • 1 sachet dried yeast, (2 tsp)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 45 g Butter
  • 190 g bakers flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g Self Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place buttermilk, yeast, salt, sugar and butter into mixing bowl and warm 2 min/37°C/speed 2.

  2. Add bakers flour and mix 4 sec/speed 5. Leave in bowl for at least 30 minutes or until yeast is clearly active.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and blend 10 sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula and repeat if necessary.

  4. Ladle spoonfuls onto heated waffle iron and cook as appliance directs.

Tip

Serve with fresh fruit or choice, yoghurt, ice cream, cream, syrup, coulis or any toppings of choice.

    just cooked these to use up the buttermilf after having made butter.

    in the camper had a Jiffy Waffle iron and they turned out beautiful.
