Waffle Batter

  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 310 grams Milk
  • 100 grams Butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 260 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 35 grams caster sugar

Recipe's preparation

    Batter
  1. Insert butterfly whisk. Add egg whites and whisk 2min/speed 3.5. Put egg whites aside. Rinse and dry bowl.

  2. Add butter and melt 3min/60deg/speed 1

  3. Add milk, egg yolks and vanilla extract and mix 5sec/speed 5

  4. Add flour and sugar and mix 10sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides and mix for a further 10sec/speed 5.

  5. Add reserved egg whites and fold into batter with spatula

  6. Keep batter in bowl for easy pouring into the waffle iron

  7. Waffles
  8. Follow the cooking directions on the waffle iron.

    For Sunbeam Belgian Waffle Maker cook for 4 minutes on heat setting 4.

    Perfect waffles. Can be doubled in the TM5 is you fold the egg whites in using another bowl. Waffles can be frozen after cooking. Reheat in waffle maker or oven.

    Made a half batch of these today for my little man's third birthday breakfast. They were great. I also didn't separate the eggs and I subbed coconut cream for milk and nuttelex for butter to make them dairy free. Served with maple syrup and coconut yoghurt. Yummy!
