Gran's Brandy Sauce

  • 45 grams sugar
  • 60 grams Butter, chopped
  • 40 grams plain flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 250 grams Milk
  • 40 grams brandy
  • 60 grams cream

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place sugar in TM bowl and mill for 6 seconds on speed 9.

  2. Add all other ingredients except brandy and cream. Cook for 5 minutes on 90 degrees on speed 4.

  3. Cool slightly and add brandy and cream. Mix for 10 seconds on speed 4.

  4. Enjoy on your Christmas pudding.

    I have just made this sauce for our Christmas Pudding tonight and it is amazing. We had 10 adults for Christmas Dinner and it was rated very high by all. I will certainly be using this recipe again each year. I doubled the recipe and added about an extra 1.5 minutes to the cooking time. It is excellant! Thanks!!!!!
