      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat Oven to 160 degrees celcius

  2. Put 20g butter and 110g sugar into TM bowl. Combine 2 minutes, speed 4, stopping a few times to scrape down the sides.

  3. Add 15g flour, 2 pinches salt, rind and juice of 1 lemon.  Mix speed 4 for 10 seconds.

  4. Add 375g milk and 2 egg yolks (reserving egg whites).  Mix speed 4 for 10 seconds.

    Pour mixture into dish.

  5. Clean and thoroughly dry TM bowl.  Insert butterfly. Whisk 2 egg whites for 3 minutes on speed 4.  Gently fold into lemon mixture.

  6. Stand dish in pan of cold water and cook for 40 minutes.
