Raw After Dinner Peppermint Slice

Ingredients

Chocolate Layer (bottom layer)

  • 180 grams walnuts
  • 255 grams medjool dates
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder

Peppermint Layer (top layer)

  • 200 grams Desiccated Coconut
  • 70 grams macadamia nuts
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut butter
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint essense, as desired

Recipe's preparation

    To make the chocolate Layer (bottom layer)
  1. 1) Put the walnuts in a bowl and mill 5-10 sec/speed 7, until they turn into a powdery consistency.

    2) Add the dates and wiz 20 sec/speed 9, until it all begins to get sticky.

    3) Add the cacao powder then mix 10 sec/speed 4, until fully incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. 

    4) Press half this mixture into the bottom of a small lined bread pan and put in the fridge. 

  2. To make the peppermint layer (top layer)
  3. 1) Put everything in the bowl and mill 15 sec/speed 9, until the mixture turn's into a crumbly buttery-like mixture.

    2) Press this mixture onto your chocolate layer.

    3) Refrigerate until it's solid.

    5) Sprinkle with coconut flakes if you like or add some chocolate.

    6) Slice and serve
