Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Butter small sanwdich tin
MC is to be repaced with basket for this whole recipe
Put butter, milk and sugar into TM5 bowl cook for 7 minutes Varoma speed 1.
Add 2 tblspns golden syrup Cook 30 minutes Varoma speed 2.
Beat for 20 seconds speed 3.
Cook again 20 minutes Varoma speed 3.
Now beat for 4 minutes speed 6 quickly pour into tin before it sets in your TM
METHOD
Tip
I put walnuts and glace ginger in sandwich tin first 1/2 a side each and pour tablet ontop as this is the flavour we like you may use whatever you like for a change

Im sorry this didnt work for you do you have the new TM5 as it wont work with the TM31.
This is my grannies recipe from Paisley everypart of Scotland has their own tablet recipe just like their whisky

Haven't made this but Scottish tablet doesn't usually contain golden syrup, only condensed milk. Thats maybe why it was like toffee KXPANDA
