- 2 clove garlic, peeled
- 1 --- brown onion, peeled, halved
- 3 cm piece Fresh Tumeric, peeled
- 2 cm piece fresh ginger, peeled
- 40 g oil of choice
- 500 g Chicken Bone Broth or Liquid Stock
- 150 g water
- 300 g basmati rice, washed in steaming basket
- vegetables of choice to steam
- 4 fillets Salmon or other fish, skin removed

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Add garlic, onion, tumeric and ginger. Chop on 3 seconds, speed 5.
2. Add oil, saute 3 mins, 100 degrees, speed 1.
3. Add stock and water.
4. Weigh rice into simmering basket and rinse with water.
5. Place simmering basket into TM bowl.
6. Put lid on without measuring cup.
7. Place Varoma dish on top and add desired vegetables.
8. Place Salmon fillets onto Varoma tray and place ontop of Varoma dish with lid on.
9. Cook for 15 mins, Varoma, speed 1.
10. Check to see if Salmon is cooked through, if not remove simmering basket and possibly vegetables if they are also cooked. Keep warm in Thermoserver.
11. Cook for a further 5 mins, Varoma, speed 1.
12. Serve meal on a plate how ever you wish and enjoy
