Warm Salmon Salad (nicoise style)

Ingredients

2 portion(s)

Salad

  • 1 egg per person
  • 2-3 baby potatoes per person, washed and halved
  • 1 piece fresh salmon per person
  • 5 string beans per person
  • 2-3 asparagus spears per person
  • cherry tomatoes, lettuce, olives to serve

French dressing

  • 50 g Evoo
  • 20 g red wine vinegar
  • 10 g Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe's preparation

    Salad
  1. Place 700g water in the TMX bowl.

    Place eggs (up to 8 eggs) in the internal basket.

    Place potatoes in the Varoma bowl.

    Place salmon (on a piece of damp, scrunched baking paper) on the Varoma tray.

    Add salt/pepper, herbs of choice or crushed capers to the top of the salmon steaks

  2. Steam 15-20 mins / Varoma / speed 3.

    Add beans and asparagus (place on top of potatoes) with 10 minutes to go (less if you like a little crunch)

  3. Arrange salmon, potatoes, eggs, beans and asparagus on a bed of lettuce, cherry tomatoes and olives.

    Drizzle with french dressing and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Place all dressing ingredients in clean TMX bowl and blend 1-2 mins/Speed 3 until smooth and well combined.

    Adjust taste to suit and blend again if required.

Tip

This salad is based on the Tuna Nicoise salad.

You can omit or add salad ingredients and adjust the dressing to suit.

    OMG!

    This salad was amazing. I added avocado and changed the cherry tomatoes for sun dried ones. So yummy and fed all five of us with only two pieces of salmon.
