  • This dish was lacking in

    Submitted by LoriO6 on 7. July 2015 - 14:51.

This dish was lacking in flavour when i tasted it part way through cooking.  I added chicken stock paste, water, extra oyster sauce and a tsp of curry powder.  Also subbed green beans for cabbage.  Your recipe was a good base for people to be able to form their own dish to taste.  Thanks for your effort.

Children loved this but hubby thought it needed a little more flavour so I put a bit more soy in for him. Problem solved! Thanks for sharing  tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by kascott on 6. May 2015 - 20:40.

Super yummy! Great with the extra 1 tbs soy, 1 tbs oyster and 1tsp curry powder as suggested! Also cooked for 10 minutes after adding the cabbage as suggested, but I only used 1/4 cabbage.. Not sure how small your 1/2 cabbages are but in my TM5 I could only fit in 1/4, hopefully haven't done something wrong! Was a little liquidy so would suggest maybe taking a out a little liquid after cooking the mince.

  • I made this last night and it

    Submitted by mummy-mix on 10. December 2013 - 09:54.

I made this last night and it was delicious - even my 3-year-old ate it! tmrc_emoticons.) I made a couple of small changes though:

Added an extra clove of garlic (as per a previous comment).

Added a bit more EVOO to saute in Step 1.

Cooked for 4 minutes in Step 3 to make the veggies a little softer (as per a previous comment).

Added A LOT more soy sauce (personal preference, plus we couldn't use oyster sauce due to an allergy).

Used 1 teaspoon of curry powder in Step 4 and cooked for 7 minutes instead of 5 (both as per previous comments).

I also used half a pack of Chinese egg noodles (my original pack was 375g).

    Great recipe! tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by angiestephens on 18. December 2012 - 19:48.

Delicious! I also added extra soy and oyster sauce but what made it extra tasty was the addition of curry powder - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon depending on your taste. I added it with the sauces. Enjoy!

  • Thanks for the recipe. It is

    Submitted by Thermovirgin on 19. August 2012 - 19:53.

    Thanks for the recipe.

It is similar to family favourite of ours which uses rice instead of noodles.

I added the extra soy and oyster sauces but still found it a little bland but I think it had too many noodles.

    Thanks again

  • I tried the recipe tonight

    Submitted by danni06 on 8. August 2012 - 21:05.

I tried the recipe tonight was good, a few suggestions for people that have stronger taste buds as I am finding alot of thermomix receipes can be bland, I added an extra glove of garlic so 3 in total and added 2 extra tablespoons each of oyster, soya sauce and added salt, pepper and a little tomato sauce tmrc_emoticons.) Also if you like ur vegies a bit softer at step 4 I cooked it for 10 minutes instead of 5 min tmrc_emoticons.) Thanks for the recipe!!!!!
