Delicious! I added half of the garlic & about 300 gram sliced mushrooms to a fry pan with the chicken and a splash of oil, then for the last couple of minutes of cooking added the sauce to the frypan. (Already hadHad left over rice from last night's dinner)
Delicious thank you
Delicious thank you.
This was delicious and will
This was delicious and will be a new regular on our meal plan! The mushroom sauce would be yummy on steak or chicken schnitzels also!
Loved the flavour of this
Loved the flavour of this meal. It was my first time using the varoma so I was a bit nervous. I had to assume the water is to be disgarded before the sauce as it wasn't mentioned. Also not sure if I should have done the chicken in the top varoma tray as I did it and vegetables in the bottom part and had to cook a little longer due to uneven cooking (which could be due to my lack of varoma knowledge). If anyone is wondering I have calculacted this meal to be 471 calories per serve. I used and calculated calories on one bunch of broccoli as 4 seemed a lot.
Yummy! Didn't have any
Yummy! Didn't have any mushroom so left them out and it still tasted yummy. Thanks for the great recipe

Hubby whipped this up for dinner last night. So yummy. You could also substitute the rice for pasta. The sauce was amazing. Thanks for sharing.

The family loved this recipe
The family loved this recipe and wanted more but it was all gone! I was a bit reluctant to cook chicken in the Varoma but decided to try with this recipe. The chicken was really moist and the mushroom sauce yummy. I used about 5 mushrooms and it worked well.
This was delicious. So easy!

Was looking for a sauce to spice up my steamed chicken & veggies & did this using cornflour instead of flour as I didn't want to cook cream at 100. Changed the cream to half sour cream (didn't have enough of either). Also increased the mushrooms & sliced them by hand. Added a splosh of white wine in final stages - verdict YUM.......Thanks for starting something versatile enough to play with!!

I made this the other night
I made this the other night and it was delicious! My husband loved it too! I love that you can put in as many veggies as you like as well, and I think the sauce by itself would go well with a heap of other dishes too. Only thing is there's a lot of cream in it so I think next time I might try a lower fat alternative and see if it affects the taste(ie Carnation Light n Creamy).
when you say 4 broccoli head,

When the recipe says put the veggies in, does that mean in the rice basket or the Varoma? Does the Chicken stay in the Varoma for total 20mins?

LOVED THIS! The sauce was just so yummy. the steamed chicken was tender and juicy, and I filled the entire steamer basket to the top with veges which gave me the perfect veg/meat ratio. The family has requested a repeat of this one soon!
