Curried Sausages

Curried Sausages

  • 200 gram basmati rice, OPTIONAL
  • 1 litres water
  • 2 brown onions, Peeled and Haleved
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 Capsicum, sliced
  • 25 g olive oil
  • 3 tsp curry powder
  • 300 g water
  • 3 tsp TM stock concentrate, vege
  • 3 tbsp plain flour

Recipe's preparation

  1. First, place a jug on top of the thermo lid and weigh in 300g of water. Set aside.
    Place rice (if using) into the TM basket and rinse. Add 1L water to the TM bowl and insert basket.
    *If not serving with rice just add the water to the TM bowl and leave out the rice.
  2. Place sausages in the varoma dish and varoma tray/ Prick sausages 2-3 times with a sharp knife.
  3. Put the varoma into position and cook for 20mins, varoma temp, speed 3.
  4. Remove varoma and basket, place rice into a thermoserver. Discard water from the TM bowl. Allow sausages to cool slightly before cutting to preferred size. Add to thermoserver to keep warm.
  5. Add garlic to TM bowl and chop for 3 seconds, speed 5.
  6. Add onions and Turbo once or twice to get chunky onion pieces.
  7. Add oil and curry powder and saute for 3 mins, varoma temp, Gentle stir setting
  8. Add capsicum slices and saute for a further 3 mins, varmona temp, Gentle stir setting
  9. Add stock concentrate and flour to the 300g of water you weighed out at the beginning. Stir until combined and add to the TM bowl. Cook for 10mins, 100°C, speed 1.
  10. Add curry sauce mixture to your thermoserver with your sausages and stir through.
  11. Serve with steamed rice or mashed potatoes
