  • 1/4 red onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 5 g olive oil
  • 400 g lean minced beef (*see tips)
  • 30 g BBQ sauce (I used naturally sweetened)
  • 15 g soy sauce
  • 15 g worchester sauce (gluten free if required)
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano (2T if using fresh)
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley (1T if using fresh)
  • 25 g breadcrumbs (gluten free if needed)
  • 1 egg (lightly whisked)

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Chop onion and garlic for 3 secs on spd 7.

    2. Scrape sides and add oil. Saute for 2 mins, 100C on spd 1.

    3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix for 10 secs on spd 3.

    4. Divide mixture evenly to desired size. (see tips). Grill patties until cooked.

Tip

* I used extra lean mince which makes the patties softer. You can use whatever you prefer.

*I divided patties into 7, each weighing about 80g.

    Yum! I made a couple adjustments, added half a grated beetroot, used tomato paste in place of Worcester sauce and used one small brown onion in place of the red onion. I also used just over 500gms of mince.
