Hearty Venison (or Beef) Casserole

Ingredients

6 portion(s)

Casserole

  • 3 carrots, 3 smaller or 2 large carrots
  • 1-2 stalks Celery
  • 1-2 leaves silver beet or kale
  • 100 g mushrooms, (optional)
  • 1 onion, peeled & halved
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 600 g diced venison or beef
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 40 g cornflour
  • 2 leaves bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp vegetable stock conc, see everyday cookbook

Recipe's preparation

  1. Roughly chop and place into TM bowl the carrots, celery & kale. Speed 6, 5 sec.

    Set aside.

    Put mushrooms (if using) into TM bowl. Chop speed 4 for 2-4 sec.

    Set aside.

  2. Add onion and garlic to TM bowl. Chop speed 6 for 2-4 sec.

    Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula.

    Add olive oil. Sautee 2 minutes, varoma, speed 1

  3. Add the diced meat & smoked paprika. Cook 5 minutes, varoma, Counter-clockwise operation speed 1.

    Add pre-choped veges, cornflour & vege stock.

    Cook 20 minutes, 100 deg Counter-clockwise operation speed 1.

    Tip into thermoserver to keep warm until serving.

    Serve with veges or rice of your choice.

    Thank you for this easy and tasty meal. I didn't have as much meat and mushrooms so I added a tin of beans, I will definitely use this recipe again.

    Don't add any liquid, it doesn't need it. That would make it rather bland!

    Recipe doesnt state liquid content so I took a guess and added 600g. Final product was bland and meat was tough.
