      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

I made this with chicken thighs, and used carrot, zucchini and broccoli as suggested. It was quite green in colour so would use a bit less tumeric and Vege paste next time. Sauce was a bit thick so I added extra water. I just cooked all the sauce in the thermi then added it to the pan where I had browned and cooked the diced chicken thighs, just to ensure the chicken didn't shred. We really enjoyed it. I'd like to try it with coconut cream as others have suggested.

  • Thankyou, I really love this

    Submitted by mellietopaz on 8. September 2016 - 02:02.

Thankyou, I really love this recipe, it's so tasty and works every time. I try not to add any watery veggies otherwise it gets too sloppy. A bit of carrot and celery works fine, and I can add more greens on the side if I feel like it. Tonight I made it as a pasta bake, worked a treat, just mixed it all up with a packet of penne which bubbled away while the chicken in sauce cooked. Sprinkled a little cheese and panko breadcrumbs over the top and popped in the oven for a 10 mins. As for the comments about the chicken shredding, I've figured a way to avoid it without using the butterfly. when you slice the chicken breast instead of dicing it into cubes, it stays in one piece better. I use this method whenever cooking chicken in the TM now. Sorry for the essay, hope it helps!

Recipe was easy to follow and the dish was delicious!

Sauce was a little too thick for my liking and needed seasoning. The chicken was also a bit too shredded. Otherwise great taste! Would add less flour next time.
