Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 70 g bread, approx 2 toast slices
  • 2 brown onions
  • 2 sprigs parsley
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 500 g sausage meat
  • 45 g curry powder
  • 1 egg
  • 110 g Milk
  • 110 g water
  • salt
  • pepper, ground

BBQ Sauce

  • 110 g water
  • 110 g tomato sauce
  • 55 g Worcestershire sauce
  • 30 g vinegar
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • 30 g Butter
  • 30 g lemon juice
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules

Recipe's preparation

    Meatloaf
  1. Add torn bread to the bowl and chop 2 seconds, speed 7.
    Pop in a bowl to the side.

  2. Place onions (halved) and parsley into the the bowl and chop 5 seconds, speed 5.

  3. Add bread back into the bowl with the onions and parsley along with the mince, sausage meat, curry powder, egg, milk, water and salt & pepper to taste.

  4. Knead on dough mode for 1 minute with the spatula to help.

  5. Line a baking tray or large slice tin with baking paper and shape your mixture into a log. Place into the oven and bake for 30 mins.

  6. BBQ Sauce
  7. Put water, tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, butter, lemon juice and coffee into the bowl.

  8. Cook for 6 minutes on Varoma - set aside until the meatloaf is ready.

  9. After 30 mins of cooking drain off any fat/liquid from the meatloaf and pour over your BBQ sauce mixture.

  10. Put the meatloaf back into the oven for 45 mins (basting every 15 minutes if you want to)

  11. Slice and serve with the extra sauce poured over each slice. Enjoy!
