Ingredients

  • 100 g Parmesan cheese, cubed
  • 600 g Potatoes, peeled and cut in thin slices
  • 800 g Minced Beef (Mince in TM)
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium carrots, roughly chopped
  • 1 Batch of Cheese Sauce (see your EDC) - Make this fresh while assembling the dish
  • Fresh Herbs of your choice - I used:
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp corriander
  • 20 g Olive oil (light)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place beef into TM bowl (300g at a time and partially frozen), Closed lid, turbo once or twice (to your liking) - Set aside and rinse TM bowl



    Place cubed cheese into TM bowl and grate for 10sec, sp8 - set aside



    Place sliced potatoes into Varoma & also on the Varoma Tray - set aside



    Put the garlic, onion & herbs into TM bowl and chop for 3 sec, sp6



    Add oil and saute for 2mins, 100degrees, sp1



    Add the carrots and chop for 3sec, sp6



    Add minced meat to the TM bowl and put the varoma & tray into place. Cook for 25mins, Varoma Temp, No counter-clockwise operation, Gentle stir setting



    Pre-heat oven to 200degrees



    Once cooked layer the potato & meat mixture into a oven proof dish (2-3L dish) while you are cooking your cheese sauce (See the Bechamel Sauce recipe in the EDC)



    Once you've completed all your layers pour your EDC Cheese Sauce over and allow to drain down through the meat & potato mixture and top with grated parmesan cheese.



    Place into the oven for 30mins or until brown!

    As there is no liquid in this recipe apart from the oil, my meat sauce burnt on the bottom, so I'll add 1/2 c liquid or tomatoes next time.
