    Submitted by Skye46 on 27. March 2021 - 17:02.

Loved this soup with the following alterations:
    added zuccini and peas
added 820g of water instead of 750
added 1tbs of vege stock and 1tbs of chicken stock (home made)
added 1tbs of chicken bone broth (nutra organics)
My chunks of chicken were too big at the end so i fished them all out and shredded them.

Love the flavour, will definitely make again!!!!!! Smile

    Hi, thank you for sharing.
What is the purpose of adding garlic and herbs in water when chicken is being steamed in varoma basket ?
Is it to make stock ?

Used 5sec / Gentle stir settingspeed 4 to shred.

Love doing this recipe. I put the chicken on baking paper in the Varoma, as this makes the Varoma easier to clean. I also just do a tablespoon of veggie stock in the water.

    Good find..

Nice and simple, very happy to have stumbled across this one. Weekly lunches are a little easier now tmrc_emoticons.) thank you. I also only whizzed for 4 seconds rather than 7 and the texture is perfect. I think any longer and it would not be very a pleasing texture  if you add it to mayo etc.

Stupid question but - do you put them in the varoma bowl or tray and does it make an difference? If they're in the bowl they are ontop of each other, do you need to have 'holes' free for steam to come through???

    Submitted by Desmitty on 3. November 2015 - 12:22.

This easy recipe is awesome and so much more cost effective than buying a BBQ chicken For school and work lunches.

I varied the recipe by using the quirky paprika chicken recipe. I sprinkled smoked paprika, seasoning, garlic powder and salt onto the chicken before steaming. The result was amazing, I'll definitely be making again.

    Thanks for sharing.
