Simple Curry Chicken

  • 1 --- red onion, halved
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoon Babas Malaysian Meat Curry Powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 20 gram olive oil
  • 1 can Chopped or Crushed Tomatoes
  • 20 gram tomato paste
  • 2 --- Small Potatoes, peeled & diced approxz 1cm cubes
  • 500 gram Chicken Thigh (Or Breast), diced approx 2cm cubes
  • 200 gram coconut cream

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Simple Curry Chicken
  1. Method:

    Place onion, garlic, curry powder and Garam Masala into TMX bowl and blitz for 6 sec/sp 6

    Scrape down sides and add oil, sauté for 5 min/Varoma/sp 1

    Add tomatoes, tomato paste and potatoes and cook for 15 min/100◦c/reverse sp 1

    Add the chicken to TMX bowl and cook for 7 min/100◦c/reverse stirring speed

    Add coconut cream and cook for a further 3 min/100◦c/reverse stirring speed

    Put into Thermoserver allowing it to sit and then cook your rice
