Meat Mix
- 1 onion, halved
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- 1 carrot, cut into chunks
- 1 tomato, quartered
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 500 g Beef mince
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 125 -250ml water, depending on consistency
- 1 small can of red kidney beans, (optional)

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add all dry ingredients to bowl, mix 10 secs/speed 4.
Add Onion, Garlic, and Carrot. Chop 6 sec/speed 6. Scrape down sides, chop again if necessary.
Add Oil and saute 4 mins/120c/speed 2 with MC off.
Add Tomato and chop 5 secs/speed 4.
Add mince and cook 10 mins/100c/speed 1.5/reverse "Counter-clockwise operation"
Add Tomato Paste, red kidney beans and water, cook a further 10mins 100c/speed 1.5 /reverse"Counter-clockwise operation" .

This is beautiful. I did add an extra tomato in step 4, cut out the tomato paste (want to avoid thickeners and preservatives) and only added a splash of water.
